Automatic Transmission Question
I don't really know about auto trannys, so im looking for some advice.
My girlfriends civic is making a nasty grinding sound from what seems to be the bellhousing areal. I suspect the torque converter is going but I dont know.
The grinding sound only happens when the engine is cold. It only happens when the tranny is in drive, not neutral or park. It also only happens when the car is stopped with the brake, not moving.
I changed the rear main seal 2 years ago, and I have no desire to drop that beastly tranny again....
