destroy and rebuild.... i NEVER use an engine hoist.... I drop the motor out the bottom...... and put it in through the bottom..... so much easier to balance the motor..... use 2 hydro jacks.... its soooooo easy this way, no ripping **** out and breaking sensors. Try it.. and u will HAVE to sawzall or grind out part of the washer of the stabilizer bar so the selecter doesnt rub... if u have the linkage bolted up right now.... unbolt it........ start over. it seems u got in over ur head as we all have

So the trans attached perfectly to the motor but just the rear mount isn't fitting. Are you jacking up the motor and trans to meet the mount? What about the mount on the passenger side, does that one line up? I know this is crazy but is it possible that you don't have a B15 transmission? Post up some pics, it has to be something obvious.

mmmm ,,

problem is because the rear mount is not connected therefore causing it to tilt toward the rear , lift the rear of motor up a bit pry the mount over into place insert bolt, remember the mount is not solid but the cross member is, and most definitely always do your motor and tranny from the bottom

I had to grind some off to fit .. I also did the ES upgrade while I was in there.

again, I hope this helps

For my reverse switch, I took the B15 switch to a junkyard and looked at all of the nissan connectors I could find for a match. I found an Infiniti I30 with the exact same connector located near the passenger-side firewall, near the hood. That is if there isn't a B15 manual trans vehicle on the lot. I took the connector and several inches of wiring. I cut the connector off my b13 reverse switch, joined the wires, and it worked perfectly. The neutral switch connector already matched, but the previous owner of the trans might have already swapped that over.
Good luck with it. We had a really difficult time getting our B15 trans into my B13, even though we had just taken it off another B13. Our issue was the spindle not going into the engine/clutch disc. The gearing on the B15, though, will make you really happy you soldier through it!

my bracket was attached to the cross member(never removed it) ,, I had to reach up on top of the rear mount and slightly pry downward and inserted the bolts with ease after that.

I have been through pretty much every nut and bolt related to the drive train and suspension/brakes in my car and have personally developed and hidin interest in working on my own car...

everyone is giving you some good advice on how to fix your problem whats left is you doing it and seeing it first hand.... its the little tricks and secrets that is so hard to explain.. lol ,, I've learned a few myself.,.

Good luck and post us some pics up,,.,

bottom is where its at on the B13, you can use a cherry picker without removing the hood to lower the motor down to the dolly, heres what I did,, however 3 weeks after the swap my clutch blew apart and had to drop the tranny again,, dropped it out the bottom with a motor cycle jack and worked great,, except the tilt problem.

out coming out sr20de usdm B14 outta there

newer going in sr20de jdm and the B15

hope this helps Jon
