quick head bolt question
what's up everyone?
I'm wondering if there's any difference between the oem head bolts/studs for an sr20de and a Bluebird det... are they the same thing?
Anybody know?

I've got a head gasket to replace sooo..... this is kinda important.

thanks!

they are the same. they have the same strength. the gti-r main cap bolts are stronger than the rest though. they are found in the nismo catalog as an upgrade. the mention something like 15% stronger.

Yes Nismo make a strong stud. I will be running this stud for my build.

All the head studs except GTIR come under the same part number.

VE engines use different main cap studs.

great info! I'll definitely look into those Nismo studs.

I'm almost considering getting another DET to just drop in place of this one I have now with the blown headgasket. That way I can build the one I have now and take my time with it. Money will be a big factor as always. ughh!

Anybody know where I can get those Nismo studs?
I havn't had much luck with my searching. I'll be going to the dealership tomorrow to see if they can get me a set but I'm looking for the best deal.

Wow, for real?
That's cool! ...and they're easy to find. That might just have to be my plan B if I can't find some Nosmo ones.
