Power Steering Hose Sizes?
Hey,

I was wondering if anyone could tell me the sizes of the hoses come off the power steering reservoir on a B14? I'd like to replace these.

It's part #49717M and #49725M in the picture

Named suction and return hose.

have you tried looking it up on NAPA or other local auto part store websites? P/S hoses are usually application specific...

hmm, well if the entire hose is one size then I can go to the auto parts store and get some cut. I'm just not sure which size to get. Looking at the hose a little more closely it looks like it could be a unique part and I may have to get it from Nissan. The return line seems to be one size.

For the return hose on my car I just used 5/8" high temp heater hose (it was red) from advance and I left it long so I could move it out of the way when it came time to change the oil filter I put 2-screw type clamps on each end so it wouldn't leak anymore, since it is heater hose it weeps some fluid through the hose I just take a rag and wipe the hose off like once a month and no problem but I'm sure you can find some kind of hose that is resistant to the fluid online, I think siliconeintakes.com sells silicone hose by the foot but its in metric sizes

Update!

FYI:

'95 200SX SE-R

P/S Suction Hose(the one coming from the pump & #49725M) = 5/8''
P/S Return Hose(#49717M) = 3/8''

I've measured and used both. You can easily replace the return hose w/bulk hose at auto store. The Suction hose has some bends in it so it'd probably be best to get the OEM unit, at least that's what I did.
