Thread: Where this part goes?

Sorry for my ignorance but, can anybody tell me what is this part for and where it goes? I saw it at the common parts from Courtesy Nissan. I don't know much about B14's

you have an auto? I would assume something for the trans to give signal to the ecu but idk

that sure looks like a crank sensor. But aren't those gray?

If it is then it goes in your bell housing toward the front of the car lined up with the flywheel.

That would be a crank position sensor. But they are grey and that one is redish. This one is for the auto.
