Eh it was cheap for me so I said why not. Cant hurt and it serves dual purposes. I remember watching a commercial on Speed TV for the magnetic oil filter sleeves.

I think some (maybe all?) Honda's come with a magnet in the oil pan. I discovered that when I helped my friend turbo his Integra.

The plug is just something I would like to have. Peace of mind, for no reason what so ever I guess.
