Do they make an AEM for the 00-02 G20.


I have a SAFC on a G20 and I cant get it to richen up on the high side. Completly lost on this one.


Damn car has

480cc SR20VET injs
Walbro 255 pump
Nismo Reg

I already changed the fuel filter because I thought it was clogged.


It just will not get any richer past 260 WHP. All it does is get progessivly leaner.

I have done 2 of these cars already so with no problems, so I am wondering if it is the SAFC or maybe the MAF needs to be changed.

AEM EMS? I believe so. Their forums say Nissans years 89-02. Sorry if that's not what you were looking for.

Edit: I just realized that there's a possibility they don't have it for SR20s of all of those years. I would research the AEM forums to find out the real answer.

if the afc is fried it can either no work on the lean side or richening side or not work at all... test out with another a-fc

It may very well be the MAF sensor. Also if there is a leak between the MAF and the throttle body, then it will cause you to lose power in the high RPM's. It results in unmetered air entering the intake and thus not being compensated for fuelwise. Check the couplers on the intake, then the MAF sensor.

yeah i would try another afc ive seen them completely short causing the car to just run dead rich. It all depends. What are you seeing as an in and out voltage at the safc. Should be easy enough to check.

Make sure its making corrections to the voltage going to the ecu. if its not then thats probably the problem.

If there is a leak between the MAF and the turbo it can run lean.

If there is a leak between the turbo and the TB the car will run rich as boosted air will leak out.

Oh this is on a turbo car. I thought it was on an N/A car. A leak after the MAF on an N/A car will do that.
