It's one of those things where when you accelerate, you're like "wtf is that?!?", but it disappears before you shift again so you don't worry too much. Irony is that it's the noise of death. I drove 3k miles with rod knock before shooting it through the block on the freeway.

Alright thats good to know

So bumping the timing might be a bad idea for this kind of engine? Does it technically increase the compression ration?

Timing won't kill your rods. Start a VE fund anyway.

Yeah man, doesn't sound good. Don't end up like me and end up working on your motor swap for 5months. Get some sort of foundation so when it happens, you know what and how to do it and, most importantly, have the means to. Our B14 is nothing to be afraid of in a swap, so long as you know what you're looking at.

I'm getting used to our cars and how they work, so soon should feel comfortable enough with it

Hahaha I've talked to Miko about this too :-).

I wanted a VE for a while because it could get pretty descent MPG's, but then I found out that a DE can do that too.

I think a JDM RR will satisfy all my needs. It should be way faster and more efficient then my DE could ever be.

I will be getting it of Miko when either I have enough money to buy it right of way, or when the warmer weather starts showing up
