Ive personally been playing with Honda's since '95 and watch how they have tuned the suspension setups so well to be cutting 1.3-1.5 60ft's with traction bars, wheelie bars and limiting straps.

We are planning to campaign a "SFWD" race car hopefully next year to give the Honda's something else to play with and hopefully develop more parts to get the FWD SR crowd more incentive to go out and play.

i for one would go and and build a car despite the lack of great trannies and final drives. dont forget about the final drives !

what holds me back and alot of ny people is the lack of a track on long island.

ok building a track car is expensive enough, now you have to have a truck and trailor. i cant afford that. let alone gas and tolls to nj every weekend to run.

i hope you guys do come up with something worthwhile. after busting 3 stock trannies, one built de tranny, one p11 diff im up for anything. although my rebuilt p11 and phantom grip has held up fine for 8 months of my weekend thrashings. but im making no where nears track hp.

but bump for you guys and good luck !!

by the way that nrg hatch wasnt it built by midnight ? LOL.

I dont know about you, but most of the guys I deal with that have +600hp/10 second Hondas do not drive thier car back from the track after a long weekend of beating on thier cars at an event.

Nothing on that car is Midnite. The motor was a Stephanie Eggum motor & the shell was prepped & done inhouse along with the tuning.

maybe you misinterperted what i said... i said as far as ny goes theres no track so having a track car means having a truck and trailer....

it was a joke. but i wouldnt let nrg change my oil. ive had close friends and met a ton of people tell me nrg ruined there motors due to their bad tunning and bad engine building.

but back on track !

most of these sfwd cars are track only, which means they more than likly come with multiple transmissions, multiple gears, the ability to rebuild the transmission on the fly right there at the track.

so if you were really wanting to get into sfwd with sentras transmissions wouldnt really be that big of a worry if you had the ability to rebuild on the fly

I saw footage of an event that Miller took that car too, and while it WAS trailered, it was just a regular open car trailer and pickup truck lol. Parked with a bunch of eclosed trailers pulled by semi's.

Most of the SFWD are streetable, with a few guys that drive it to go to lunch once in a while.

Id say 85% of the fastest cars right now in the class all run dog boxes.

^ right and in reality i bet that if you really wanted to run a sfwd you may also look into adapter plates for other trnasmissions to mate onto the sr20 block yeilding you better strength gearing.. the ppl who build those cars dont really have a budget so transmissions really arent that big of a deal if they break.
