SFWD Drag Sentra
Not mine and I should've probably put it in the drag racing forum but wanted you all to take a look at this B13.

my sfwd sentra - Honda-Tech

Some interesting info about tranny development there, as well

Why is this posted on honda tech?

maybe because there are a million times more sfwd hondas out there than anything else. So if you want some good advice why not go to the people who own the competition instead of posting on a site that basicly noone currently has or is building an sfwd sentra.

I think that pretty much covers it, haha.

Its sad but yeah in real world comparison the hondas are cheaper in the long run and make more power because they have the aftermarket support. Just the way it goes i guess. I would love to see another one out there though.

No kiddding, go over and read through the drag racing section on that site, and you'll understand. The difference is HUGE.

I wouldnt say that Hondas are cheaper to build than Nissans, I rather say that the FWD Nissan owners community is cheaper than the Honda FWD community.

Nissans are def. more expensive because their aren't alot of use doing sfwd cars as oppused to the honda's. I'm building my car for the sfwd class and I can tell you from experience that it's not cheap at all and the parts are not as easy to come by for the nissans. But hondatech has alot f good information and is a great tool if you need answers, the cars are different but any info is better than none, just my 2 cents.

I thought I saw those pictures on this forum, as in the owner of it is on here.

Let me get this straight... so in the long run modding a Honda is cheaper? Or is this mainly for big power goals. Basic T25 or T28 swap is pretty cheap if you just stop there....

the FWD Nissan community is more of an auto x community than a drag car community. And like Ive said before, we are cheap. There arent many SER's on the road compared to Civic/Integra's.

Doesnt matter if your building a Dodge Omni or Honda Civic, building a high horsepower vehicle cost money. Its no cheaper for them than it is for you. If anything, we have an advantage since we start with a good platform(SR20DE) instead of starting with a D16 & having to swap your motor for a $2500 B series motor.

A car with a T28 turbo wont compete in the SFWD class.

mod for mod race car for race car I would say the prices are about the same. However I see alot more turbo sr20's than hondas. All of my honda friends are stupid and think changing camber gives you hp lol. Even adding a stick makes you faster hahaha that's the majority of honda boys I run into but there are the occasional enthusiasts.

Agreed.

Thats because of the massive quantity of SR20DET motors out there in the world.

I get the complete opposite here in the Jersey/NYC area. Im a moderator on a local Honda forum that I wont mention on here & let me tell you, these guys got it easy.

B20v swap + I/H/E + B16 trans + Junk2 camshafts + suspension + SAWZILL + EG Civic shell = 12 second all motor.

The main ingredient in that equation is the sawzill......& you dont even want to know why. They hack those cars to death.
