7) Will the hoods have the proper mounting places for the stock OEM hood latch? And...then we should also install hood pins as a safety measure, correct?

I know hood pins and washer nozzles were asked about already... but I haven't seen a clear answer yet.

1. Will we be able to use the OEM hood latch?
2. Will there be holes for hood pins?
3. Do we even need pins if we are using the OEM hood latch? If so, why?
4. How easy is it to drill into CF? I would like to have washer nozzles.

I can answer a few since Ive worked on cf parts in the past for work.

2.no
3. I would use them due to the fact that no one has used his products so the latch area strength is unknown. better safe than sorry.
4. Its not to difficult. a few tricks are to:

cover the area you are drilling with blue painters tape to help prevent spiderwebbing.

Use a new bit and always start with pilot holes.

Drill in reverse. It prevents ripping of the fiber which can cause cracking.

1 if they make it correctly then yes.

2 i doubt they would make it with hood pin holes....

3 i would reccommend it. just the other day i hit about 145 and my hood jerked up and hit the top of the pins. now it didnt break the oem latch in anyway just at those speeds the wind will yank the hood up to the top of the latch. now with cf hoods they mostly have fiberglass shells and the metal latch is glued to the fiberglass. they have been known to break. if it breaks it now lifts up breaks your windsheild the roof and possibly puts you in a bad situation. sorry for the novel.

4 very easy. figure out were you want em and rill a pilot hole and then increase the diameter of the hole until your nozzels fit. if your doing hood pins install your pins. put some grease on your pins. close the cf hood. see were the grease is, drill a pilot hole then rem it out till the pins fit. i used a dremel on mine.

stratton.
