I think my motor is done
Well I just got my jwt ecu back today. It was programmed for and n60, 370s, de comp, 3 bar fuel. Just drove it around to make sure it was running good before bolting the t25 on. It ran great. But then I had to run some errands. When I went to go home, the car didnt want to start and felt like it was on 3 cylinders at idle. Driving felt kind of normal although it was backfiring like a mo fo. Got home and pulled the plugs. #4 black. Swapped plugs and still nothing. I know it had fuel cuz it was all over the plug and I know it had spark cuz I pulled the boot off and I could hear it arcing. Also when I pulled 4, there was no change in the way the engine idled. Got out the comp tester and 1,2, and 3 were all around 170-175. The best 4 could muster was 150. While I was swapping the plugs, I noticed the vacuum line on the fpr was off. Could this have been the demise of my motor? Tell me your thoughts. All I can hope for is that the head gasket went.

if the fpr vacuum came off then it would run pig rich

Yes still on the stock headgasket. Yea it was running pig rich, you could smell the fuel. I just wonder if this could have had anything to do with the compression on 4 being down.

Until you hit boost where it would run quite lean.

150 is not that bad especially if the cylinder got washed down with fuel. I bet you have a leaky injector o-ring which is very possible if you just put the 370 injectors in. Or a sticky injector thats not closing. My guess is the o-ring, pull that injector back out and take a look. I bet you the bottom one is torn.

I think I missread but you havent put in the turbo right? 3 bar? If so,that's your problem. Im surprised it would idle right.

The low compresion is probably all the fuel that washed up in there. Still would be a good Idea o check the O-rings.

I had a bad O-ring not once but twice, so I know how to check it without even opening the hood.
Try 2nd or 3rd gear full throttle pass, it should run decent up @ higher rpm. Then right before redline let off the gas and it should fire like a gun!!! If this happens then you have a bad O-ring. If it dosent run decent up top at all then it should not even idle at all (excess fuel).

Yeah I'm pretty sure this is your issue. I had the same problem with my Cyl #4. Once I did a leak test it sprayed like a car wash.

Pull your fuel rail off the intake manifold and put a towel under it. Prime (turn key to ACC but do not start) the fuel pump to put pressure into the fuel rail, if Injector 4 is leaking you have a bad O-Ring.

Anyone want to take any bets on this. Motors dont just go bad man. Usually something causes it.

And by the sound of it the turbo is not even on yet.

So yeah im 99.999999% sure its an o-ring problem, not enough lube on the oring when you installed it. haha.
