engine bay measurement b14
I'm wondering if anybody can make a measurement for me. I need to know the distance between the two frame sections in the engine bay. I'm about a 4.5 hour drive away from my b14 right now... otherwise I'd do it myself. I'm hoping somebody has an empty bay like this one pictured for a good accurate measurement. it's not my car, i'm just using it for reference.
Thanks in advance!

I got 35.5 up near the radiator and 32.5 near the fire wall. It curves in a little, not a straight line.

What do you need the measurement for?

thanks guys...
I've got a little project going on autocad. it's basically an Ariel atom style car using a bluebird SR. I'm basically just putting a bunch of ideas on paper... there's no telling if I'll ever use the designs I come up with. But it could turn out to be a pretty sick project.

Well for that you'll need to measure the actual engine itself since you'll be building all custom tube chassis to the engine specs. And you should use the VE+T instead of the bluebird.

I'm aware of that, but for now, while I don't have access to anything I can measure, I'm just doing some rough drawings.
VE-T would be pretty awesome too. Nothing's set in stone.

What you probably really need measurments for are distance between mount points, front - back and side - side.

And when I go home this weekend, that's when I can do that. No disrespect to you, but I have a pretty good idea of how to go about doing this.
