ECU wiring diagram...
Does anybody have he wiring diagram for the B14 ECU and the two plugs that go into the dash harness for the guage cluster? I've looked thoroughly through the FSM and I can not find the pinout or wiring diagram. I've looked though 95, 96, and 97 and nothing.

I'm trying to find this stuff so I can repin my harness from GA non-tach cluster to SR cluster with tach. I'm having no luck finding this stuff and am at my whits end...

Any help would be very much appreciated.

TIA
Lance

I found this, but it still doesn't really help me with the plugs that go into the dash harness for the guage cluster...

I suggest you look at the FSM again. On the 97 Sentra FSM, EL-82 shows the pinout for the gauge connections, and the ECM on EC-9.

The downloadable FSMs in PDF format are missing the pull-out pages in the back that have all the wiring diagrams you could ever wish for. I have them for 1994 but that doesn't help you any. =/

Ok, but that doesn't help me for the plugs that come right off of the ECU into the dash harness...

If you look, they give you the pin location number of each wire coming off the ECU along with the color code on the wire. I've done this myself for tach troubleshooting. If I can find the layout of the ECU plug picture that I should have, I'll post that as well.

EDIT: A-Ha! This should help you out!

Thanks. I already had that, I'm just trying to find the pinouts for the two plugs that plug into the dash harness.

Your best bet is to re-wire at the cluster connections itself, in which case you'd just use EL-82 for the cluster with tach, and EL-89 for the cluster without tach.

If you wanted to do it at the dash harness plugs as you said above, you could simply use the ECU pinout and wire colors posted above and just trace the wires from the ECU to those two dash plugs.

The only reason I need the pinouts for those two plugs is to make sure that there is no difference between the sr and ga. I have the cluster pinouts that you just pointed out, and for the record the far left plug for the with tach is wrong. The sr cluster uses the same exact plug as the ga, it's just pinned differently. I'm in the middle of doing it right now, and I'm not gonna lie, it's a pita.

2 things that will definitely help here. What year is this, and what vehicle? So far you've not told us, and as such I'm using th FSM I have at hand, which is for a 1997 Sentra/200SX. There is a possibility that different years, different body styles, etc. will have variances, but I don't know since I handle my FSM most of the time and as such, only memorized info from that particular one.

If something isn't lining up, make sure you're in the right FSM. If you think that the FSM is lying (an instance I've yet to have happen on mine), then just trace the wire(s) in question, heck you can even use a continuity test to make sure you're still tracing the right one. The back of the clusters even have the circuits labelled of what goes where. With all this, I could custom rewire the entire cluster with new wiring without issue.

If you're doing more than just a cluster swap (such as motor swap, new harness installation, etc.) , then you're going to have to look at more than just wiring diagrams, you're going to have to investigate ECU compatibility and possibly get a different ECU.

All the info is here, either in this thread, or in the FSMs. As BenFenner pointed out, the PDFs are missing a foldout of wiring diagrams, but that by no means makes it impossible to do what you're trying to do. The info you need is still there. You just have to do a little more wire tracing and testing.
