E60 MAF need help ASAP!
I just wired up my E60 MAF sensor. I mistakenly wired the 5-volt to the ground and the ground to the 5-volt. When I started my car it was running like it was on 2 cylinders until I revved it up and the cams switched over. I rewired the MAF correctly and it's still doing the same thing, but now it's worse and is backfiring terribly.

Would crossing those two wires burn out the MAF? Or is there something else wrong.

P.S. The car idled and ran like a champ before I wired up the MAF.

NVM, it was just a fouled plug...

to be honest you might have fried your ECU. If i'm not thinking backwards you've sent to much current into the ecu.

Gotta be VERY careful when dealing with electronics. Once I noticed people were frying ECU's with O2 sensors and MAF's.

It sucks now days, because there is a big Calum list if you need a new ecu

The car runs like a champ now. The ECU is fine. I just have a new problem now...

I took the car around the block and did a second gear pull. When the cams switched over, it cut in and out a couple times. I remember seeing another thread somewhere on here where that same thing happened to another guy, but now I can't find the thread...

Yeah, I don't really want to have to pay another $105 and wait another two months to get my ECU...
