Thread: Front left drive-shaft Interchangeability?

I need the left front drive shaft, but in the junkyards I only found a b13 se-r & NX2000. There aren't 200sx se-r . I have a 200sx se-r 96'.

These driveshafts can be swapped in my b14 se-r?
I know, I know, maybe you're gonna say me that is better buy it a brand new or remanufactured in autozone. But I am poor, and I live in mexico, and my option is the Junkyard.

well they will fit if your trans. has a limited slip

yep, I have LSD. NX2000 too

ok then it will fit.

any year SR20 tranny axle will fit as lng as they are both either limited slip or both non limited slip.

only thing you have to take into account is if yours 200sx has abs. If so then you need an axle with the wheel speed sensor blocks on the axle. If you have it and you use one that doesnt you will get an abs light. If yours doesnt have it you can use one that does or doesnt, it doesnt matter. haha

so this is same for passanger side axle off a gr20?

G20 axles are different since the outer splines for the hub are bigger. They dont work in B13/14's

ya if the tranny it came out of is an LSD...


so to recap LSD axles will only fit LSD tranny's, non-LSD axles will only fit non-LSD tranny's...

only difference is the ABS tone wheel.

And even if you have a non abs LSD tranny you can still use a LSD ABS axle...but not the other way around
