maybe someone can answer this...
so i was driving with my friends last night and on the highway, and the car was breathing better than usual. but that was due to the little cold front Florida got. okay so there was a cold front but i wanted to push the car once and i accelerated to 100+ and i got to 115 and kept going... i have a stock ecu, although its a g20 ecu. but that shouldnt go above 115mph, should it?. so anyways it just kept climbing and next thing i knew i was and this and still creeping up.

anyone know how or why???

what year is the car, i think it will still have no speed governor if its the earlier years. The only difference i can recall between the g20 ecu and a b13 ecu is the rev limiter. I could be wrong but im pretty sure

You have more power available than is being dissipated by resistance so you continue to accelerate. Is this a real question?

no, its a 1996 b14. and it has a 1997 or 98 g20 ecu. so it doesnt really make sense to me.

g20 94 and up have no speed governor. I had ODB2 G20 ECU in my old B14 and had no problems

yea it does man. its just slightly higher than the stock b14 one.
and the rev is just higher, setting redline at a higher point. but there is still most definatley a governor.

Hes just confused because his ecu doesn't have a speed limiter. Who cares you should be happy. I've done over 115 in my 99 g20 so Does that mean I Have a funny ecu too? No big deal on a stock car it takes so long to reach those speeds its not worth it to even try and go faster there is no point.

G20 ECU elimenates governor. Governor on B14 SE-R is 109mph with stock ECU. Its probably not a 97/98 G20 ECU unless its from a non-USDM car. 94-96 are the USDM lowport ECUs.

yeah thats what i though was the g20 does not have the governor. Either way, oh well.
