sr20 problems...need help!
avenir..370. jwt comp. stock maf. 93 sentra se-r

well...i just changed my head gasket and installed arp head studs. after putting everything back together the car would not idle. it souds worst than a subaru. also its not getting any vaccum. the boost guage reads 0. also once in a while it back fires through the intake manifold. also when i rev the car it sounds like a rev limiter at 2500-3000. cant cross that rpm for nothing.
the timing is correct cause i used the factory timing chain marks with the piston at tdc. The intake cam at 10 o colck and the exhaust at 12 o clock. also verified 20 rollers between the 2 marks.

i took out the distributor with the ignition on...when i rotate it to hear if the injectors are clicking i can hear pressure releasing somewhere on the intake manifold. the injectors clicks but i hear psssshhhhhhhhhhhhh also. is that normal? also pluging and unpluging the maf sensor makes no difference in how the car runs. i need to fix this asap. please any help would be greatly appreciated!
the more i try to rev the car the more it wanna die down.

Sounds like you screwed the pooch on something. May want to rip stuff back off and retrace what you did. Of course assuming this problem didnt occur until after you did your head gasket job.

i know that...however i dont have the time to pull this motor again and im trying to fix this with the motor in the car. i have 3 conclusions. 1. the car is not getting any vaccum because its constantly revving. 2. running pig rich cause of leaky injector 0 ring? 3. not revving past 3000 and not idling because the ecu is not getting the maf signal?

The not revving past 3k is almost guaranteed maf related. Not sure if the wiring got damaged somehow, maf malfunctioning or the plug was damaged/not connected. I would definitely start there.

After that you may want to just rip out the intake mani and check your inj's. If all looks well there pull off your plenium also. You did mention hearing the sounds of air passing through something of a pressure like situation so maybe its not sitting flush to the gasket and allowing air to pass out.
