to do this you need the following.
remove stock cat or move to new location (gets in the way) now add about 1 to 2 inches below the pivot ball, you will need to cut an weld for this. now add about 4 inches above the pivot ball. use a torch and a vice as needed to make what ever bends you want. and a pipe as a handle.
i would also HIGHLY suggest the best bushings/ serban shifter bushing as well + that mod the dude did with the 2x4 steel stock and made the shifter bracket.
ALSO, to made it even higher you could be like me and make a shift knob out a screw driver handle. i did this a while ago and it raised my stock WRX shifter about 3 inches because the handle is nice and long.
