what is the best and easiest way to get the rust out of or atleast fix and cover up the rust in my door jams??? and the trunk area?

and also whats the best paint to use and where do i get it from if i want to paint the rims bronze? i bought some bronzish, goldish looking color at advanced the other day and started painting it and it looks like a gold more than a nice bronze.

thanks

I recommend using a brush if possible (under car, parts don't see etc) then rust inhibiting paint, then oil and or wax-coating.

Bitumen (asphaltblack yucky stuff) for wheel wells.

Watch for small parts that rust away and look like you only can Dremel me loose m8, those parts mess up the rest of your car later on.

Also look for leaking to the cabin, that can rust the F out of your chassis internally.

For outside/visible parts, I still recommend rust inhibiting paint, spraycan stuff just doesn't cut it everywhere and you cant put that on with a pencil.

Then, original Nissan touch up and after that the included Nissan blanc.

Wax and shine, especially wax, forget about shine, let it dry, get the shine a coupleof days later.

etc etc etc.

The 1993 Nissan Nx2000 of Richardwbb for hints

Need to know more? PM me.

p.s. Nice tools are flat screwdrivers (just make sure you don't point in a direction with your paint, it WILL scratch. So just be smart or use a nice tool. glasfiber pen, and the brush. That's all u ever gonna need. And a steady hand and some patience. Just putting rust stop just won't work well, u need to restore somehow the original protective layer and get rid of the total rust first (yes, when it's a hole u need to use that sticky stuff (can'[t translate it, but its sandable when dry) or weld. You need to next year anyway :P

I will need to be doing this soon as well sir. My passenger side is starting to get bad, drivers side isnt. However with the need of paint job, rust repair, new hood, new suspension. Im going to be on the market for a new shell soon.
