I too had to cut and splice the new connectors in. The pins are not interchangeable.

Someone on the forum had posted this site for clip on adapters, I had it saved in Word so I'm not sure who should get credit.

Has anyone tried these yet? Seems like the simplest/quickest solution.

I don't see anything on that page that adapts the Subaru style connector to Nissan. My Subaru injectors are getting cleaned at Deatschwerks, and I'm getting a new set of Subaru connectors w/pigtails from them as well, and will have to splice them in to my harness. I'd be a much happier camper if I could have just re-pinned them.

Yeah, I noticed that site is not all that user friendly, but they do suggest a call if you can't find something.

If I were ready to make the swap I'd call them and see what they recommend. I may anyway, next week, just to satisfy my curiosity.

you can take the pins off of the subaru wires and put them on your nissan wires...voila. Kind of a pain but with a pick and small jeweler's flat tip you can pry the pins off of the wires. I usually solder the pins to the new wires, crush them back around the wire and put them in the new connector.

1) I'm curious is that real OEM Subaru or the random BS "Subaru" plugs we all see floating around?

2) If you're super anal and have time on your hands, you could physically un-crimp the Nissan metal pin and be very careful un-crimping the Subaru metal pin and transfer the Subaru metal pin into the Nissan wire harness. I've done plenty of similar things in the past with crimps. I imagine it working out quite nicely.

First, I tried putting the nissan metal clips in the "subie" plugs which fit like shit, so then i tried swapping the "subie" metal clips on the nissan wiring which was more or less impossible with the tools i had. At the end of the day some OEM subie plugs/pigtails and some crimps solved the problem and has been working very nice.

Yah, having good tools for de-crimping would be helpful.

1 - are there counterfeit Subaru plugs out there? If so, they're pretty popular since I'm not the only one in this thread with them.

2 - The stock pins are so tightly crimped that it's not worth the trouble, especially since I don't have the proper tool to recrimp them.

I'll probably use some of those weatherproof heat shrink crimp connectors on the new plugs, and do my best to hide the connections. The connectors I got with the injectors were beat up anyway and I didn't feel comfortable using them.
