jb weld it and be done with it. Plain and simple the maf adapter they sell is not worth it and pointless. Again my z32 maf has seen 26 psi multiple times and has yet to blow apart and mine isnt even jb welded yet. When or if it does blow the cap off then ill jb weld it and not have to ever worry about it again.

You can't "really" tell, but you can kind of see it here.

That sounds like a lot when typed, but the design looks pretty simple on his car.

Toyota's actually have a removable MAF, so do Mazda's, maybe even the new Nissan's. But we are stuck with MAF's that require a lot of work to take off, so I doubt they will ever have anything like that.

Sounds like your underestimating a seal on an o-ring. I'm not sure what the max rating is but My injector o-rings seal off 60psi of fuel pressure all by them selves as long as the Injectors are held in place that is. It's the samething here. The circiut board is screwed down on to the housing holding the oring in it's seat. I don't feel air should be getting past that. I would think the oring is important.

As far as metal maf housings go I think it's prefernce. I don't think it's a waste because I got my N62 maf for 7 bucks at pull apart because some jackass tried to pull it off a J30 with out any tools. so he cracked the housing and then left it in the drivers seat. I was thinking about building a metal box for my Maf, to sit it on my IC pipes to clean up the look of the engine bay. So no it's not a waste just prefrence on what you'll spend your money on.

Silly question...why not run it draw through like its meant to be run, and you don't have to worry about blowing the cover off.

silly indeed

very, especially with the way mine is set, it would be a big pain to run draw through. Plus i dont have to worry about having my bov open and my coupler blows off then im still good to drive home.

Ill keep my blowthrough thank you very much. Its soooo much better and i love it. Plus ive already tuned the car for this setup and changing it to draw through is more than likely gonna change a/f ratios accross the board. NO thanks! Its worked perfect thus far and im sure it will last just fine from here on out.

I've learned that draw thru is good if you don't make ****ty piping. I re-did mine and it looks way better, still need to get a bung to recirc my bov though.

Even if you make kickass piping, it depends on the rest of your setup.

I for one can't easily run a MAF, pre-turbo. The compressor inlet sits so close to the motor that I can barely run a 4" pre-turbo intake pipe.

Having 18" pipe before the turbo is a killer for me. I will dyno draw through vs blow through next time I go to the dyno.
