OK here's my idea. It didn't turn out (aesthetically) as well as I originally conceived. Mainly because the plug is off center, which I didn't recall. Also keep in mind it's a 5 minute job I did in my kitchen. It could probably be refined and improved (black wire would probably be ideal), but I think it would function pretty well as it is.

I used an old coat hanger to make a clamp that wraps around the cover. Seal it up, and strap something like this around it... that little cover shouldn't budge.

Absolutely nothing wrong with a metal MAF housing, they'll hold MUCH better than the OEM housing. He'll my friend with a custom PVC housing is more secure than the stock housing... If you can find one for as much as it'd cost to buy another z32, I'd go for it!!!

Not sure if this would hold up to boost though. Plus with the ends so smooth, might slip off hehe.

i would weld that 1 in, they also sell 1 with ends that are almost rolled looking for their weird clamp together intake system, but after looking at more pics, i believe that 1 is just chromed plastic

That's what she said! (I couldn't help myself! :rofl

Anyways, when my friend bought a CAI for his Scion TC, I noticed the MAF is built into the intake piping. I wonder if someone could do this for our cars? All you'd need is a WAI, weld on the correct size piping, and get the female part of the MAF integrated into the smaller piping, correct?

That sounds like a lot when typed, but the design looks pretty simple on his car.
