I havent done it to my current one but so far its held up to 26psi and around 500whp with no problem. But my last one i had on my old setup i did it to it and had no problems and no leaks at all.

everyone is saying it sucks. why i dont know. but my z32 worked fine for 3 or 4 years or whatever.

but id like to see a link also.

why would this be a waste. if the maf blew apart once, who says its not going to happen again. i dont see the problem with trying to ensure the problem doesnt happen again. not to mention it would be nice to weld the pipe into place and that one less connection in your ic piping you have to worry about.
just because its a waste for whatever reason to you, i think there are benefits to it.

I also had a pretty good idea while I was looking at this thread. I might have a decent solution for you guys. I have a spare Z32 in the attic. I'm gonna try it out tonight... I'll report back.

also it's not just the top... I think there is an o-ring that has gone bad too when this happens. I think technically the box is never supposed to see boost.



you have to unsodder the 4 pins to get this out though. this is my z32 going into my n60 housing by the way.

Edit.... LOL don't mind the basement/workshop toilet... best lighting for the camera phone which sucks either way
