blew my z32 maf apart....
like the title says guys, the black cover on my z32 maf opened up.

i peeled the black sealent out and used pl and put it back together. no luck.

i peeled the pl off, sanded it down to give the pl something to grip and wiped the contact surfaces down with preps all. still no luck.

what do you guys recommend ?

this happen to anyone before ?

Get a new maf. I done this on my turbo car on 25lbs. I had tbolt clamps and i guess the pressure leaked through the maf

next time use jb weld on the edges of the cover and trust me you wont ever have a problem with it again. Ask how i know. haha.

I havent done it to my current one but so far its held up to 26psi and around 500whp with no problem. But my last one i had on my old setup i did it to it and had no problems and no leaks at all.

IPS used to make a metal Z32 MAF housing.

yeah i remember that but it requres some soldering work. I believe if you sent them your maf they would do the install of the board and sensor.

That was a LOT of duct tape, and JB weld was used as well. I gooped the hell out of it, let it set for around 5 minutes, then duct taped it with about 10 layers. Works fine, but I'm only at 11psi of boost, too.

I remember someone offering these. Perhaps you have a link where to get one? Why were these so bad? I work at subaru and they work great on those
