Make sure you have the ground wire grounded to the chassis, and that the fuse on the back of the head isn't blown. Ask me how I know these two steps

Whoa, slow down. You tried EVERY combination of wires? That is a terrible idea. If you were wiring something more complex than a stereo you might have done some serious damage. Next time do your research beforehand.

1) Check the car fuses.
2) Check the fuse on the back of the radio.
3) If you are following the CORRECT radio diagram as per spec, and it still doesn't work, make sure you know the car's wiring layout.

Only took me a few seconds to find this.

These should be the wiring colors which are in the car's harness.

A brief search on the other forum turned up this, which is probably even better.

Take care to notice that you DON'T need a ground wire. The grounding is accomplished by the radio mounting screws.

Lastly, you really should get some radioshack harness plugs so you aren't hard wiring it into the car. It's much more convenient to have a harness.

Not that I'm not taking care to notice, but #1 its not my car so I'm not familiar with it and its a favor/gift I'm doing.

Really? You didn't get the "mines" reference from that? I only highlighted that portion because of that.

Edit: Sorry, just realized it was a broken link. I meant this:

Where the hell are these people coming from? This is gettin crazyyyyyyyyyyyy. We try to speak like intelligent people here, that is why you are getting cow pies thrown at you instead of people being helpful. I have done many random radio swaps hard wiring, mines alWayS worked, but for christ sakes, buy a harness kit(that may not be an option on this one) or at least some connectors from radio shack and make a harness yourself they are cheap as hell. Is your friend blind? Or is it that if you wrote things down he wouldn't be able to read your sort of english. I would hate to see what your handwriting looks like since you can't even type neatly. Also since you seem to be trying to makes his handicap a reason for people to feel bad for jumping all over you. Read what other people on this forum talk about and learn how to post in the right section and spell correctly, it will get you much further with this crowd.

Wait a minute, why are you installing a stereo in a deaf person's car? No offense, I just don't understand?
