Knock sensor, Lopey idle.....?
Here's what I got.
92 SE-R. JDM 9.5:1 highport. CLEAN under the valve cover.
ebay warm air filter.
ssac to 2.5 straight exhaust
solid energy suspension mounts all around.
thermoblock plenum and manifold
castrol synthetic 10w30
ngk platinum range 6
regrounded maf . which helped.
o2 sensor on #3 or 2 primary, i forget. Which is grounded as well.
The engine itself is very steady. The car itself is very shaky at all times. I'm
thinking because of the solid poly mounts.
Problem. It has a lopey idle.
I have the blazt nissan data scan. Timing goes from 3-21 degrees.
When using the timing light, it jumps a bit too.
I get codes: speed sensor, knock sensor, and sometimes Cam position sensor. but they say "car started 0 times" with the following codes. I clear them and they come back up. Yet, my check engine light never lights up and it works.
Car runs very good. Waste less gas then my 1st gen neon.
Can a very shaky car cause misc bumps, vibrations, and various frequency sounds for the knock sensor to pick up.
In my reading. I haven't confirmed if we need the knock sensor to be plugged in. I read a 240 guy with an sr swap didn't have one. Or i misread.
