Thread: VE oil pump install

I have an Almera N15 with a RR SR20DE and I can get myself a used SR16VE oil pump from a JDM import. What other bits should I buy to install the VE pump to my RR engine? I've read that there are spacers or I can ask the guy to give me the spacer from the VE crank?
Do I have to get the pump with the VE pickup tube or I can reuse my own one ?

Do I need only the spacer that is from Gspec ?

when i put a ve oil pump on my sr20det bottom end i had clearance issues with the balancer afterwards





so i machined up a spacer out of the ve gear which drives the timing chain





this allowed the balancer to have enuff clearance other option is to mill the back of the balancer 3mm to clear

with the front wheel drives i think both the ve and de all share the same balancer its only the rear wheel drive balancers which are different so u wont need to go threw all this
