Thread: Quick fix... Better than OEM < PICS >

So last weekend while doing a cam up grade the chain tenshioner studs broke somehow. So the head was pulled off to get to the studs. Took it to a machine shop just for the safe of it and this is what they did. A couple of bolts with the heads knocked off and filed down. And long enough to help more and not long enough to get in the way of the filter. I was impressed at the idea none the less. Eat your heart out OEM.

Are you going to do anything to the head while it's off?

Me too... want to make it to the damn meet.



$50 with a Helicoil in the center fot the VC that striped. But no...I would do the spacers but that will come with the JDM intake mani.

Not yet... waiting on parts from Greg V. Should be here tomorrow or Tues. I'm sure it will be fine due to the fact that these bolts are pretty damn thick.
