Thread: Need Some Help Please

Ok i took my baby two days ago to a transmission shop cuz i had a leak of trans fluid, they picked it up and said it was just a leak between the motor and trans maybe gaskets where bad already and just the job of replacing all the gaskets and end the leak was gonna cost $375. i finally take it to get it fixed when i receive a call hrs later saying that they where not gonna do the job bcuz there was a bick crack inside the trans due to a diferencial explosion, iam not a car expert but i did see the big crack. to make the story short i have no trans now, what i wanted to know was if u guys new of places or sites where a i can order a good jdm trans or just a new one for a good price??? place must b reliable. pls thx

Post in the wanted section, many guys like myself have done partouts and kept their tranny for fear of 5th gear popout and have extras laying around. Then ask all the partout guys for one and you'll find one up quick

on second thought from seeing your sig - if you have a sentra xe, there's a guy giving away a ga16 engine and tranny I think in the 'free' section -check there!

anywhere more simpler most of the sites i go to only come up with separate pieces, and car-parts.com gives me places that are to far to pick up or ship for me i'am in no condition to do that. any local miami expert that sells them or anything?

ask miko if he's got any ga16s from a swap he's done in the past - i'm sure if he doesn't know, he'll be able to point you in the right direaction.

another stupid question?, iam no expert on motor or any internal part, the q is do i have to flush all the motor oil out to take out the that cap tha has the word twincam an so on??? i might to take it out and some part bfore i do a swap.
