search dude, that's what the button is there for. sr20's almost always come out the bottom (unless you're tekkie - I think he takes it out top) get an engine crane, some chain, and go to it.

I always take it out the bottom (just like everyone else) but from the top is possible.
Depends. If you want to wiggle the tranny on once the motor is in then take it out from the top. If you want to make your life easier attach the tranny to the motor and do it all from the bottom. Ive done it both ways, bottom is easier by far.

first time i did it through the top, next 2 times i removed and installed from the bottom. next time im going out through the top (i found it easier) and in through the bottom. all of the times with tranny installed.
