Need new tires
I have a '91 Se-R Bluebird DET swapped with ??? springs (on it when I got it sits a little lower than stock). Planning on some road magnets in the near future. I'm running 205/45/16 BFG G-force KDW's now and they've about had it. I like them but I was wondering if there was something better out there. I've been thinking about going Azenis RT-615's but 205/40/16, 215/45/16, and 225/50/16 are the only 16" sizes they make. I don't know a lot about tires, I think the 40's are going to be narrower, the 215's are going to be taller, and the 225/50's are going to be taller and wider? Is anyone running this Azenis's on a B13 with RM's? Or does anyone have a better idea for a new tire? Sentra is my DD/weekend toy for the most part, and I need something that's going to stick like glue when it's dry, and sill let me drive around (at least 70) when it's raining.Whatever I get must work with RM's Thanks for your help.

Grassroots motorsports did a tire comparison a couple of months ago. The cool thing? They used a fwd car to test the tires. Most reviews/testing is done on a rwd vehicle, and it's always been my opinion that needs/characteristics for tires on a fwd .vs. rwd are completely different.
Grassroots Motorsports Magazine

I've forgotten which did the best, but I know the Azeni's weren't even in the top 5.

Went to the site and you have to buy the magazine to see the resuls. Do you have the magazine with the results in it? If so could you post the results on here?

Didn't find the magazine edition, but did find a thread on the forum when we were talking about the test.

Best tire: Kumho ecsta XS... it's their replacement tire for the MX. They also tested the Dunlap Starspec and the newest Bridgestone. The happy news? The kumho is relatively cheap and still did the best.

The Kumho XS is a GREAT dry tire! Also, they love the heat; get 'em hot on the track, and they don't get greasy, they stick even better. Talking with Frank Secondari, the Kumho engineer who actually designed the tire, he himself says the compound was specifically formulated for dry performance, and was never meant to provide all-weather performance. Having said that, they are not a good rain tire. At all. Might not be your best choice for a DD.
