The iacv can compensate for a lot of changes such as weather, temperature, altitude, how well the motor is running, what temp the motor is.

Again to me its necessary and its something i would want to keep as well as many others. There are many that have experience with and without it but most will tell you they prefer it.

how are you going to have a smooth idle with cams my car idles right at 1000 without so its just fine if you dial it in right.

I'm glad I brought this to everyone's attention. It's good to see that there's some buzz factor going on!

Alex is right, I already have a manifold. That doesn't mean that I'm not excited for everyone else. I spoke with him a few times via PM and gave him some insight as to what we would spend, and what competitive pricing would be. It's great that this company is eager to listen. Coming from the V8/DSM crowd, they know what it takes to get stuff done.

I would seriously consider buying one of these manifolds just to compare to the o2 induction manifold. I like this design as I do the o2 piece, and think that they're going to be neck and neck.

it wont be $775 and we all know people will start bitching about the price when they get their quotes and there goes the buzz right out the window.

Again these guys seem to know what they are doing as far as manifolds goes and can work with whatever you got, N/A setup or turbo im almost positive on that.

good to know. this will go nice with my vet project.

Well you need to remember that our manifolds are pretty much basic manifolds with no options. Vacuum ports are standard, with any manifold. Since you and I both run without the AAC/IACV, a base manifold is more than suitable for use on our cars. A group buy at 5 or more for $700 is a GREAT deal, in any case.

i really hope they make these and people buy them just to make the sr20 game that much better. The one guy said he was quoted over $900 so it seems wierd now its that low. Also im sure there will be a charge for using the stock sidefeed injectors and other things.

yeah i think the o2 and this will be neck and neck, the biggest change i can see is the design of the flow stacks and how they are close together and smooth flowing and not to mention the runners on these ones are bigger and flow in smoother, I think this mani could make a bit more power than the o2 induction but i guess thats to find out, haha Im excited and cant wait to take the trip up there to do the testing. Should be sick.

I think this mani will easily put me at my 550whp goal at 25psi of boost or so. Stay tuned

TBH, I think the runners are too long for a FI setup. IIRC, Mike K and a few other "elders" did testing and found that the optimum runner length for FI setups is around 3.3" or so? Maybe Snickers can chime in. I think he may have done this testing as well.

Regardless, this is good because it will create competition once again within the FWD community. The more vendors for IM's, the better.

ashton you think this will gain 100hp if im reading that correct.

i made 461whp on 24psi, im thinking i can approach the 550whp on 25-26psi, soo 2 psi more than what i was running before. I think this manifold on 19 psi will gain at least 40whp on 24 psi your looking at more, and at 26psi or so im thinking im gonna be at my max for fuel and turbo once some tuning is done. We are planning on 4 hours of dyno time to try out some things but first things first is bolt on gains, no changing map setting or fuel pressure unless its absolutely necessary because of a/f changes. But that maf should see the differences and compensate by adding fuel.

So not much tuning should be involved for just the direct swap comparison over the stock intake manifold. But we probably will do some tuning as well as some higher boost levels. I want to hit my 550whp mark reguradless.

But yeah im thinking at 24 we could see upwards of 50whp. Its definetly possible with that mani and a q45 throttle body.
