Thread: 1.6 to 2.0

Hi guy i am swaping 1.6 auto to usdm sr20de 2.0 5sp. I read all the writeups. I got the motor in and the shift linkage and the clutch pedal in everything is done expect the wiring. Most of the harness plugs up expect alternator harness and 3 connectors by the battery. In all the writeups i look at i did find anything about wiring. Its a 92 sentra. If any one who has done the swap can help me??

^PM jen36. The auto is missing a few plugins for that area when you go 5 speed.

Did you get yourself the SER harness?

Yea i got se-r harness those 2 plugs are from the se-r harness. The other plug from on the far left is from xe body harness

i did the swap and not everything plugs in, but i didnt rewire anything
car drives withouth whatever those plugs are
use the ga alt harness

only thing you gotta do is figure out which wire to wire together so you can start the car, becuase there is no clutch switch

i just ran a wire from my ignition to the starter

ok what year is the harness from you must have a 91 to 92 harness if you want this swap to work. i cant see the plug because the gov blocked mostly everything on this computer. games, photobucket, youtube, stuff like that. but n e ways i think the 2 plugs are the ones that are under the air box support if you put your hand under that you will see 3 plug ins side by side

or you can do what i did you can take a piece of wire and jump the inhibiter switch to start your car with the key. but you must be carefull because you will be able to start your car without pressing in the clutch!!!!! i cant recal which pins on the relay you have to jump because im not driving my sentra right now i would have to go look later
