So I just broke down a spare sr that was given to me and somebody thought it would be a good idea to take my valve cover and leave it uncovered so it was full of water. the head looks good, cleaned the crank, and pistons. The chambers and rod #4 is where my problems are... They all have a noticable rigde at the top and #4 chamber has a little rust spot. The Rod for #4 Im going to replacing it, after pulling the bearing off the cap its scored and looks absolutely horrible.
The guy who originally had it said it spun a bearing and after replacing it the bottom end was locked down and wouldnt even turn by hand. He was sure everything was torqued correctly and used correct grade bearings. i didnt know what else to think.....
Now my question can i have my chambers bored .5 over to clean them up? and iirc that would give me a 86.5 bore? is it possible to still run stock spec pistons and rings?
I will get pics up here in just a bit.
