Time for new tires
Well guys it is time for new tires. The car has 205/40/16s on it now. I was just curious if any of you guys were running a 205/50/16 tire and what your impressions were. I was also wondering about clearance.
Give me some ideas and lets talk tires...

Why are you switching from 40s?
imo 45 are pretty good, and they look good a little stretched.

i forget the size i run on my 15x7 x002's but they are azenis. this is the only performance tire i will ever run. for the twisties they are unmatched. other then that theres drag radials but those arent that dailyable and wear fast.

stratton.

205/50/16 FTW. I have ran this size on my wifes B15 for years. I love them

I've run 215/45's Rodney... They fill the wells really well imo for a b14. For a b13 I think they work well, u just will need to use a spacer in the rear depending on the wheel you go with. w/ a 40mm offset 7in wide wheel a spacer was necessary for me. I think with a 50 series tire back there maybe try 10mm spacer. B13's are picky back there. My opinion would be to stick with a 205/40, if you want more sidewall maybe go 45 and a small spacer. But what do i know!

205/45/16 fits perfect except when i go over dips or make hard left turns , my right rear tire rubs on the fender, also when i turn hard left or right, my front tires rub on the inside of my chassis..

So basically you are saying they dont fit. they shouldnt rub, you need some spacers and/or get your fenders rolled.

Yeah I think I am just gonna go back with 40s. They just look a little small to me on the car. Stratton, Azenis are a good tire... But they are JUNK compared to the nitto nt01s. You should try a set.

They are also "old" there are lots of new tires out that are better and cheaper. But that's not what this thread is about. Close, but no cigar.
