STRANDED! cars not starting....
Anyone experience this? Car has been running great forever, I go to start this AM and it turns over and over but wont run.

So i come home and start searching, and come across a dealer recal for 91 sentras for a bad fuel pump.

Has any ser owners experienced this? I did try to listen for the pump to kick on when I turned the key, but its kinda hard to hear *** im next to a busy street.
I dont think I heard anything. and no fuel smell either. Of course i have never really smelled fuel anyway when i start the car.

Any ideas???

Pull the fuel line after the fuel filter in the engine bay. Now when you turn the key, you'll be able to see if the pump is working or not.

Also, check all fuses.

Did that. except im by myself so when i pull the line to the reg it starts siphoning and fuel gets everywhere.

Ill go check fuses now, though.

Thanks

Check all the plug wires. A couple of us have had the coil wire pop off on us. Should be very easy to spot if this is the problem.

DId that too.
Well I just got back from checkin the fuses and they were all fine.
Figured id try to start it for the hell of it and it started.

WTF?!?

I wanna leave now but im afraid this thing will leave me stranded again.
I dont undeerstand what happened to make it not run, maybe one of the fuses had wiggled itself loose ( yeah i know that sounds completey crazy)

It's fresh in my mind, so I keep suggesting it as a potential cause to people's starting problems (engine cranks but doesn't fire) but I'm not sure if it's likely at all... But, my brother's SE-R car did the same thing. Would start some mornings, others not. Started leaving him stranded, etc.
Finally, it got so bad that I was able to reproduce the problem (every time in the past I got to it, it would start right up). It turned out the electrical connection between the rear harness and the top of the fuel assembly was corroding. That part of the car is open to the elements and can degrade quicker than other places.
