You can pretty much do it by eye. It's especially simple if you plan to remove the charcoal canister (though you don't have to do it that way). In that case it's remove everything but the FPR line and make sure to plug the TB inputs.

That is a nice diagram though, and I'd recommend leaving the charcoal canister in there as there really isn't a great reason to remove it.

The CC has nothing to do with which engine you have

The CC is also there to absorb gas fumes from the tank. If you remove it, you will have those evaporative emissions just coming out of the hose. Not the end of the world, that's how mine is actually (came that way) but my point was just that you're not going to gain anything by removing it (on a street car anyways), and you'll just end up polluting more. I am all with you for cleaning up the engine bay though. But you could hide it just as easily as removing it.

well i jus dont see how its of use now that it doesnt have any vacume lines hooked to it anymore, or maybe i could hook the hose straight from behind the tb (tiny hose) directly to the CC do you think that would be a good idea? or possible bad? i mean thats what they prolly do on the car the ve comes from.. or something similar... as long as it has no ill effects like high idle or something i'd be down to rig it up.. im not really a tree hugger, but i dont mind doin my part to keep things clean..

Haha, yea if there are no lines hooked up it's no good. That's why this diagram was posted. You can see from that that it's hooked up to the intake and the flow is regulated by a vacuum controlled valve. If you can't find that setup you might be best off just taking it out lol.
