Fan constantly running after swap
The car: My old 95 200sx se-r,
the swap: GtiR
the problem:
so after MONTHS and months of grueling time being broke and some severely un needed effort(and two fried ecus) the swap is finally done(well kinda) one thing i noticed however was as soon as he starts the car the fans immediately kick on , also to be noted the heat gauge doesnt work....now i read this in a post a couple weeks ago, about the fans, has to do with some sensor either not working properly or not being hooked up , also to be noted, the o2sensor iacv (purple plug?) arent hooked up, the fuel pump which used to kick on before the swap doesnt kick on any more when you turn the key on, did the same thing with 2 gtir ecus and one stock b14 computer , also to be noted is the car now has some ebay afpr which im questioning highly, the gauge on it doesnt work and i cant seem to adjust the fuel trim for the life of me...any one care to chime in on whats going on? and if the plug for the gtir iac and the plug for the b14 one are different? we cant find the connector for it

did you change your temp sensor? the red plug right next to your oil filter? if no then change it to a usdm one. also if that sensor is not pluged in the ECu will think the car is over heating and will keep the fans on at all times so make sure its pluged in and as far as the gauge. theres a smaller one prong sensor right next to your temp sensor that sends the signal to your gauge. check that and also change that to a usdm sensor just to make sure. I changed all my sensors to the usdm ones

well i talked to joe, the sensor is plugged in, the prong isnt, he said he couldnt find the connection for the prong and the iacv, however the actual clip for the cts is hooked up...somethign might be wrong with the conversion harness or the wiring in between causing it not to work..

any insite on the fuel pump?

usdm and jdm head tempsensors are the same. also the b13 and rnn14 share the same head temp sensor. its the guage temp sensors that are diffrent but the guage temp sensor has nothing to do with fans. so either you have a bad head temp sensor or there is a plug under the dist that is not plugged in properly

ooh good call on the dist, what about the b14 head temp sensor? the swap was done in a b14
