Thread: Difference in axle length?

Hey,
Got a question... is the P10 primera left side axle longer than the se-r axle? I belive they use different cv joints...

my issue is that i have a n14 pulsar (jdm) but it seems like my left axle (lsd box) is either too long or my car should have been written off in a previous life due to a bent chasis... (note car aligns on alignment stand no problem)

reason i say this is that when I make turns to the right the car feels like something on the left side is knocking the whole suspension setup (control arm and struts etc). I thought it was the wheel rubbing but the mech said it seems the axle is too long, as there is little to no play when he pushes and pulls it back and fwd... oh and its nearly impossible to slip the axle & cvjoint into the hub when theyre seperated... the strut and hub assembly has to be pulled crazy far to get the joint in the hub.

he asked me to find a shorter axle, but i dont know if there is a shorter left lsd axle for the n14/b13/p10 lsd box...

and if it isnt the axle what do u guys recommend? he suggested cutting and resplining the axle...

oh and if the chasis is out alignment can i measure anything to check that?
