clutch dumping IMO is ignorant, its how to break **** on your car.even on launching aftermarket clutch need finesse with engaugments dumping the clutch cna break the clutch, wearo n the flywheel, ruin the trnamsision, axles ect...the clutch is aftermarket it can take abuse, but if you are going around dumping a 4-6 puck clutch realize that the cluthc is aftermarket your transmission isnt, axles arent, so on so fourth so those weill be subjected to breaking

Yeah it does, but like you said, blindly doing it will break it down for sure. It can be so much fun at trafficlight runs so I do it sometimes, mildly. Revving to 5000 and dumping it sure will kill more then u like. Some folks even decide to not race me just because of how violently I drive away (those white lines and stuff on the asphalt are great for that)

Bottomline: yes, it gonna cost money and time.

Well I figured it was the clutch going out so I just went ahead and ordered a clutch. Today I used the nitrous again and there was no slipping whatsoever.

I am using an aftermarket cable because my stocker had about 90,000 miles on it and snapped one day. It seems like the aftermarket cable is longer because when I put it in the cable guide it kinks up the cable alot. So i need the opinions of people that know more about this than I do.

I have/had the same problem with my setup, and I've tried every combination of clutch cable I could think of. There's a tight 90 degree bend in mine, between the guide and the cable bracket. Is that where yours is binding? I've tried the B13 GA, B13 SR, B14 GA, and B14 SR. They all seem too damn long.

He has a 6 puck unsprung clutch, and a performance pp to compliment that. So it's far from stock

i broke a **** ton of things on my 200sx clutch dumping...its not that bad on the streets and depending on your tires...i used to do alotta burnouts and what not and yeah i broke a few transmissions burnt some clutches...axles were never a problem with me, as for the NX when i took it to the drag strip id clutch dump (stock unisia clutch)at 4500rpm...with bad mounts the tires would grip and the car would bog down...i made 3 passes like this but im surprised i didnt break anything...i pulled that clutch outta the car and it still would roast 2nd gear

i personally like to preload the power, not a effective as clutch dumping, but also not as much of a danger to other supporting drivetrain parts either. clutch dumping def has alot to do with the tires you have also, if you have ****ty tires you will just spin out, if you have some sticky tires you will def see some good results from it

I dont know how to preload power with nitrous. Its kind of an on and off thing. LOL. Im surprised my axles arent clicking and my engine hasnt blown as much as ive used nitrous.

I wont know the condition of the tranny until I take it down. I think the clutch cable binding caused my clutch to wear prematurely because there are times where it grabbed great and times when it would slip. Probably glazed the flywheel or disc. My clutch died on me completely last night.

Anyway. I have a bunch of stuff I ordered to just move on and get the new clutch kit in.

Nissan Clutch cable
Nissan Throw out bearing
Axle seals
Fidanza flywheel replacement friction plate
Redline MT-90 Fluid

My next question.

Should I order a rear main seal? I replaced it when I did my last clutch/flywheel job about a year and 7 months ago, around 47,000 miles so I take it that its pretty new.

ive never EVER changed one...its good insurance if you wanna change it and i think the seals only 8 bux.., ive been rather lucky with seals...i rebuilt my transmission without changing the input shaft seal and been fortunate that it didnt leak...but yeah you dont have to its really all what you want...if time is of the esscense dont bother changing it...if you have the extra time to mess with it go ahead

also more than likely its not glazed but you completely wore the facings off the disc, ityll look some what decent when you pull it out , save for a close look will reveal that its ****ed to all hell
