DIY/steering rack
The rack on my B-13 is leaking and I'm dreading the fix ! Somewhere, maybe from g20 I tink I saw some pretty good play by paly instuctions for the job, but I can't seem to be able to locate them ...anybody have them and can help me out ?

If your doing this with the tranny still on the car then I wish you luck! All you need to to is basically undo the tie rod ends from the knuckles, drain the ps fluid, undo the lines on the rack, loosen the yoke from the steering shaft, and undo the rack mounting brackets. Its been a while since I removed one but thats what I remember doing.

if you are planning to do a motor swap or a clutch job soon, wait till then. it is a pain to get the rack in and bolted back up with the engine and tranny in. you only really need to remove the tranny to make it easy.

And if you do not line up the rack and pinion right you will have odd lock to lock turns. My right side inner fender suffers because I just slapped it in without adjusting it. Next time I am taking it to someone to do. What a PITA.
