Oil Baffle plate bolts
Hey everyone I was just curious on this question. Are any of you using loctite on the bolts that hold the oil baffle plates in place? THere are two that made me wonder. The small one under the oil strainer that bolts to the crank girdle and then the bigger on that bolts to the upper oil pan. I looked in the FSM and there is nothing in there about using loctite. I just torqued to the required amount.

I'm wondering now though if those bolts are meant to get loctite.

In my opinion, if you think something should have locktite on it, then by all means put locktite on it. You can never go wrong with putting locktite on bolts. I propably wouldn't use that high strength red locktite but maybe the blue stuff for those bolts.

i've never put loctite on those bolts...imo, they do not need it. The only place I've used loctite so far on all my builds was flywheel bolts. Everything else just gets torqued down and I've never had any issues.
