Thread: VE cams in DE?

I feel dumb for asking but I;m just not too sure and I wanna be.... Can I put VE cams in my DE? just drop them in without changing or adding anything? Also, what are the differences? I believe its more power towards the end of the power band? Thanks in advance.

Havnt built SRs all my life sorry. Yes i am. I'm new to the SR game. I know alot of things but this is'nt one of them. I'm not familiar with VEs thats why I ask. I've never even seen VE cams so I dont know. I've only messed with lesser nissan motors and a little bit of the SR.

I have to change the whole head right?

Need a VE head for VE cams.

Putting VE cams on a DE head is like putting VTEC cams on a non-VTEC Honda motor. Will not work.

Aight I got you. I had no knowledge of the VE system really so thats why I asked. I'm not retarded I just lacked that knowledge lol

All VE cams from SR-VE motor only fit VE's

not even the roller rocker motor can share the cams , even tho they look similar they wont fit.


only DE cams are interchangable. 91-98

the early 91-94 cam is a smalll upgarde to the later sr20 motors

I think I fixed that properly for you. Humbly of course, no disrespect. Also, the 91-94 intake cam upgrade will NOT work on RR 00-01 sentra or g20 motors.

Don't say they wont fit unless you have actually tried it. You CAN use RR cams in a non RR motor, and vise versa. Many people overseas have used them for cheap hp, and people here also.
