You could replace it with a catch can (vented to atmosphere if you'd like) with a separate drain lower in the engine bay (swiss has a good example of placement I think).
As far as I'm concerned, the real solution is the RR or VE valve cover like Vadim said. They have the catch can built into the valve cover and clean up the hose runs and engine bay much better.
