AD22 brakes not lining up?
Hey,

So I was able to get the brake rotor off, but I'm having problems getting the holes lined up for the calipers?! Both sides seem to be off by about a 1/5 inch. Anyone have some advice here? Anyone have issues like this when installing them on a 200sx?!

Thanks.

OMG YOU HAVE TO BE ****ING KIDDING ME!!

Do the 200sx brake lines not fit into the AD22VF groove?!?!?!?!?

btw, got the caliper in. It was the dust shield. Everyone tells you that you need to cut the dust shield on the outside. No one seems to mention that there's a piece of the brake shield on the INSIDE of the caliper that you have to bend or cut off as well.

cut all the dust shield off and everything should be plug and play man. take a break for a little and come back with the right frame of mind.

OK I got everything on.

Just my crazy luck, somehow through the re-man process, the paint/metal or whatever was painted on too thick on one of the calipers so the brake line would not fit into the groove. I had to shave it down and now it fits. The other one fit without any problems. Some sort of re-man error.

As I said before, I pre-cut the brake shield to make the ends of the caliper fit, but there's a little piece sticking out that hits the middle of the caliper that was stopping the screw from going on by about a 1/5th of an inch. I slammed that thing with a hammer to bend it flush and the caliper holes lined up.

Man, this AD22 upgrade was a lot more difficult than I first thought. Granted I have no idea what I'm doing, but I thought everything would work.

nah man, they're easy. The dust sheild was easy to break off, it looks to be made of aluminum or some other softer metal.
