Yeah, there's a search button, use it. Timing chain tensioner is your issue. Around $75 for a new one and your problem's solved. Takes less than 30 minutes like classicaddict states. Around 15 minutes with 10mm socket. 5 minutes to pull the valvecover, 1 minute to ziptie cam gears, 4 minutes to replace tensioner, 5 minutes to install valvecover.

and that's being generous on the time lol

When you put the tensioner in make sure you have it latched onto itself. Its pretty self explanitory when you look at it but hey we are here to hold your hand.

if you claim to have swapped an engine yourself why the **** would you ask if you need to pull the head to replace a timing chain tensioner???????? removing the head would mean you need to remove the chain first........whats the first thing you do after removing the timing cover to pull the chain off? the tensioner. ergo to pull the head off the very first thing you do is remove the tensioner......i.e. your question= dumb as ****.

ok i changed the tensioner and it dint help i even took the chain guide out ...... wile i checked the chain it tight were the tensioner goes but on the other side its loose ass hell were theres no tensioner

Only needs to have tension on that side.

Because it only takes tension on one side to keep the chain on the teeth on all the gears, give it some thought! =)
