hey need a lil help pls
hey guys i barley swaped a jdm engine into my sentra and it has been running good until i got a lil worried because when i go 2 start my car it makes a bad rattle noise comeing from the time chain area when its at idle it makes that noise but! when i accerate the car to like 3 or 4 rpm the noise goies a away then if i let off it it comes back



any suggestions?

chain guide possibly. Take off the valve cover and its the big black thing on top of the chain. It has 2 12's holding it in and it should help but not promising anything. You can take it out and see if it goes away.

That or the timing chain tensioner, they are notorious for failing. You can get a new one which is for the car that will already be upgraded so it doesn't fail in the same way.

good lord no. its a 30minuye job. you do need to remove the valve cover.

search, i know theres a write up here or on the other forum, i know this cause i had to do mine on my de a few years ago..
