Wow this thread has gone crazy haha

I have thought about a unsprung hub, I just don't want it to be to bad. I don't even care what it is anymore I just want something to hold my tq. Whats a disk that'll hold 400tq?

They can be obtained from turbocharged engines, it's just a matter of realizing you're going to be low on torque for the most part, and relatively high on HP towards the upper rpm range.

Call my 303WHP/237WTQ (a 66 point spread by the way) pathetic and unbalanced if you want, but I'm going to stick with it if you don't mind.
Making power with less torque (it's going to have to happen at high rpm) also has the added benefit of keeping a weak drivetrain happy.

well i was more or less basing what i was saying off of the numbers of the hondas scene's most popular motor aside from the newer k20 series which is the b16a engine, and when you compare the specs of the b16 to the sr20de

sr20de Horse Power: 140 @ 6400rpm
Torque: 132 lb/ft @ 4800rpm

RPM limited at 7500rpm (200SX SE-R is limited to 7100rpm)
Displacement: 1998cc
Compression: 9.5:1

b16 Displacement (cc):
1595
Power (bhp@rpm):
158 @ 7,600 rpm
Torque (ft/lbs@rpm):
112 @ 7,000 rpm

Compression Ratio:
10.2:1

Bore (mm):
81
Stroke (mm):
77.4
Cam Design:
DOHC
Valve Train
VTEC

basicly comparing the 2 engines and the power they make and the variables between the 2. i cant really compare the sr20det engine to any of hondas engines becuase none of them are specificly turbo from the factory, now a k20t is amazing engine with a turbo.

4psi difference.

bigger turbos make more torque, just at higher rpm.

AFAIK they make more b/c psi=psi they flow more air and that air charge is cooler.

I hope that came out right....it sounds good in my head....

How did your clutch net part fail ?
Thanks.

I really hate to ask this, but has anyone used JGY's 6 Puck setup? I haven't heard anything bad about there clutches (even though I despise the company) Seems like they do alright? It "says" holds 390tq. and it's only $270.

I am running a Exedy Stage 2 with my bone stock bluebird setup, and its seen it fair share of clutch dumps, racing, and generally being abused. Its been a total of 8 months since i got the swap running and it still feels brand new. I put about 10 of hard miles on it....im sold. However its only good up to 275ft lb or something like that.

That was my 1st upraded clutch and 1st blown center section. when it went out they wouldn't replace it caue they did not have just the disks for sale. i think someone else builds them for them. But i still have the PP and love it (had it bebuilt). I have read most clutch companys buy the stock Center section and just put there own componants around it. Thats why i went with ACT cause they build everything in house and the new yellow spring center section was much beefier than the JWT and the Competion clutch disk. Never dealt with clutch net yet or the centrifcal clutch. i can't remember that ones name at the momment.

If you are desperate enough to go with JGY, I would just try JWT, much more reliable and customer service is existent.
