Intake manifold removal - easiest way?
The previous owner put the Thermo-spacers on the JDM highport motor before install. However, I noticed while snooping around last night that it looks like they didn't clean the old gaskets off before doing so. How hard is it to take this intake manifold off just enough for me to clean up the surfaces?

Remove the runners.. an thats it leave the bottom portion with t/b on... it should just hang there i beieve theres a bracket on the passenter side which holds it up to the head.

I don't know about that. I was messing around with a motor the other day and was thinking about a thermoblock install. From what I see, if those thermoblock spacers are installed, those intake support brackets wouldn't bolt up correctly unless they were drilled out for the proper spacing. Most people leave the brackets off if they ever do any intake work, so my guess is they aren't even on the motor anymore.
